Simply put, the MCSA is a mid-level certification you can obtain between your MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and your MCSE course. To achieve the MCSA, you are required to pass three papers. If you take on one additional elective subject, you will end up with the MCSE in that specific discipline.
Between 1-3 months depending on the amount of time you are able to devote to preparations and how much in-depth study you need before proceeding.
It is best not to worry about the duration of time required as long as you are regular and disciplined. Vedasys provides a solid 50-60 hours training course, maybe even more if you feel you need more time to master the subject matter.
